Multi-Faith Centre, Pudu

The main objective why a Religious Art Center is there it’s to deliver education of religious art to different people from different background and different religious. Art is an international language where doesn’t matter which country you’re from or what’s your background as long as the passionate is there. This help to improve the relationship between people and very suitable especially for Pudu as there are plenty of people came from different background such as the migrant workers and the locals.

Besides that, Religious Art Center able to help those unskilled people to at least know and learn how to produce art piece so that they’re still able to survive no matter where they go by producing and selling their very own hand made art pieces.
In site analysis, Pudu is very lacking in art culture and almost couldn’t find any art element or religious art around except for the architecture. People now a days doesn’t really appreciate what has been passed down and not willing to inherit the skills of making religious art.

Religious Art Multi-Faith Center target on all different age group of people from different religion who willing to learn how to produce religious art product of other religious. There are total five main workshops of different religious which are the Hinduism, Christianity, Taoism, Islamic and Buddhism. The reason these five religious art are chosen as the program of the building it’s because in the site analysis, believers of these five religious in Pudu are the most.
There are three stages of learning which are learn from your own religious as the first stage then followed by learn from someone else religious and lastly a hybrid of self and others’. Those who are interested can start with learning religious art from their own religion as the beginning of learning,

In addition to religious art, the proposed program will provide in-depth analysis regarding the history and background of selected pieces, ensuring users have a firm understanding of the essence of the art piece's origin. Then they can end up with producing a hybrid art of different religious art that they’re learnt.
Pockets of gathering space around the building provide spot for people to have discussion especially student from different class they sit down and exchange ideas and hopefully came out with new way of making arts maybe in hybrid way.
The entire program is a loop which the communities are taught everything about religious art and it is believed that it could be a new landmark in Malaysia.
