We in group of 4 are required to select a building, study and observe the building features and details of the building then produce an essay of 2000-2500 words including images, sketches and diagram that with depth and the effectiveness to communicate information that is relevant to the precedent study. The submission of work are in A4-size papers plus comb binding of the chosen building which is the Pre-war shop lots in Jalan Raya Timur, Klang which belong more to Neo-classic period of architecture on its design ideas and significant contribution to its culture including the references.

The essay produced contain,

• Fast facts of the building.
• Contextual condition of the building.
• The architect, design ideas and concept of the building.
• Architectural elements and features of the building.

In this part of project, we are required produce a prosentation board each of our own which go into details that we have research on including what is in the essay and transfer it into a more drawings and less words A3 size board.

Learning outcomes

• Interpret architectural language in relation to the development of Western architecture between Industrial Revolution and post World War 2.
• Differentiate the way in which many varied factors contribute to the development of form.
• Ability to extract important information and present them in your own style 

Through this assignment, I was able to communicate on time management  for site visit and with my fellow team members. I also get to know and understand deeper about the architecture style of the pre-war shop lots in Jalan Raya Timur ,Klang through research online, news, books, on site observation and interviewing local people about the history and story of it. Along the process of doing all the task of this assignment, I've learn the way to transfer all the findings into an essay with tons of information and sketching to show more understanding about the research that have been done. Besides, I've also discovered basic architectural theory through a consideration of intentions, concepts, patterns, disciplines, architectural language and contextual relationships. Then able to examine architecture history through a chronological survey, looking at the intellectual, aesthetic, technological, political and economic factors which have influenced architectural design.
